We are on the hunt for fantastic variety talent for the Cirque Du Lass Competition 2011! Held at the Lass O Gowrie, Manchester, 8-10 acts per heat will have up to 7 minutes each to compete for a place in the grand final to win fantastic prizes.

So, if you’re a juggler, dancer, hula hooper, street performer, fire act, contortionist, singer, ukulele player, comedian, magician, burlesque or boylesque artiste, mime artiste or clown, please do apply! We will offer a warm, supportive, fun environment in which to perform and are looking to find the very best talent.

Prizes for the winner include:

• £100 cash
• A Vivien of Holloway voucher for the best 1940s and 50s reproduction clothing, http://www.vivienofholloway.com/
• A photo shoot with renowned photographer Kate Donovan of Donovan’s Darlings and 21st Century Goddess. http://www.21stcenturygoddess.com/

There is no entry fee or fee of any kind to take part.
Please send any video links, photos or links to online galleries, a description of the act you want to perform and any performance CV or references you might have tocirquedulass@gmail.com by Sunday 8th May.

Please state upon application any preferred heat dates or any dates that you definitely cannot perform from the list below.

Dates:
Heat 1 – Sunday 5th June
Heat 2 – Sunday 12th June
Heat 3 – Sunday 19th June
Heat 4 – Sunday 26th June
Grand Final – Saturday 9th July

All applicants must be available for Saturday 9th July in case they go through to the final.

Apologies, but we cannot accommodate aerial acts.
